Happy Valentine's Day (to boys only)

Valentine's Day in Korea is slightly different than its American counterpart. The concept remains the same-- It's a day to share/show your love to those special people around us. However, the giving only flows from women to men.

It's the custom for women to give men chocolate on the 14th. That's right.. women get nothing until a month later on "White Day," when men give them candy. I don't think it is a fair trade---chocolate for normal candy. Anyways...

I set out to buy little valentines for my students and didn't find them ANYWHERE! The candy selection also left me longing for a plain old CVS. The stores had some some Valentine's Day decorations, but nowhere close to the levels of American (and I'm assuming Canadian) stores.
